
Cantigos in Carrela
The itinerant exhibition offers various traditional regional and non regional group parades, along the pretty streets of the hystorical centre. During the event made possible, in various districts of the town, thanks to the residents hospitality- it is possible to taste a glass of good wine, pastry and local products.
Carrela 'e Nanti
(on Carnival's Sunday, Monday and Tuesday)
Reckless and exciting “pariglias” formed by groups of two or three horses- gallop through the winding “Carrela 'e nanti” (Via Roma). “Sa Carrela” is one of the most suggestive and traditional events in the Sardinian Carnival's calendar.
Sa Chida Santa (The Holy Week)
With the Palm Sunday starts the Holy Week events organized by four groups in town. Particularly touching is the “Su Nazarenu” (on Holy Tuesday), “S'Incravamentu” (on Holy Thursday) and “S'Iscravamentu” (on Holy Friday) events, enhanced by the famous dramatic ancient singing a-Cuncordu. The event lasts until Easter Day with “S'Incontru”(the meeting) between Jesus Christ and the Holy Mother.

Cavalli in Fiera
(Horse Regional Exhibition)
The exhibition is one of the most important equestrian event in Sardinia from over 100 years. Races, equestrian performances, equipmente showrooms and famer's showcases, take place altogether during the exhibition.
Ardia Su Coro 'e Zesus
End of June beginning of July The riders “Su Sotziu” gallop in turns (“Sos Inghirios”) around the main church of Saint Peter, in the hystorical centre pebbly streets. Riders, who wear traditional Lussurgiu's costumes, run to the “Su Coro 'e Zesus” cross in the Seligheddu district, where the event ends.
Folkloristic dances event- August 21st
For the Patron San Lussorio festivity day, a folkloristic music and dance event is organized in the main centre of the town.
Ardia San Lussorio August 21st
It follows the same ritual of “Ardia di Su Coro e Zesus”, with the main difference that the “Ardia of San Lussorio” celebrates the holy patron of SantuLussurgiu.

Poetry festival in sardinian language
An annual event with poets from all over Sardinia, organized to promote the Sardinian language and to valorize the ancient sardinian language. Cultural meetings, seminars and day-meetings.
Christmas Concerts are yearly planned in all the churches in town, where it is possible to meet various artists coming from all over Sardinia.
Literature Festival “A libro Aperto”
International literature Itineraries”. The summer meetings were born to create an event to celebrate spoken words on the main stage, in the hystoric centre of Santulussurgiu and San Leonardo of Siete Fuentes. The target is to promote and renew the public interest in books, to re-create the “written text “ and to re-discover the beauty of literature.
